Back in style is the México Maravilloso roadshow, the traveling event sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Mexico in Italy (CaMexItal), which brings Mexican charm to the heart of six Italian cities-Rome, Milan, Verona, Florence, Naples and Reggio Calabria. After the success of the last edition, the cultural, economic and tourism trip is renewed to further strengthen ties between Mexico and Italy.
Organized with the support of the Embassy of Mexico, the Consulate General of Milan, and with strategic partners such as Palladium Hotel Group, Caribe Mexicano, Air Europa, and Bahia Principe, México Maravilloso 2025 offers a rich program: educational seminars for tour operators and travel agents, exclusive fam trips for operators and journalists, and many events open to the public in the Chambers of Commerce offices.
An increasingly strong economic and cultural dialogue
As Letizia Magaldi, President of CaMexItal, points out, “Mexico is now Italy’s second largest trading partner in the Americas and has more than 1,800 Italian companies operating in its territory. Through México Maravilloso we want to intensify exchanges in the tourism, gastronomy, technology, food, design and automotive sectors.”
Magaldi recalls that Italian exports to Mexico exceeded 9 billion euros in 2023, with significant investments in various strategic sectors. “This roadshow allows us to systematize tourism, culture and business, creating concrete opportunities for collaboration.”
Mexico, an increasingly popular destination for Italians
Mauricio Guerrero, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Mexican Embassy, pointed out that Mexico is now the world’s sixth largest tourist destination, with 45 million international visitors in 2024. “Italy represents an important and growing market,” Guerrero says. “The Rome-Mexico City direct flight, inaugurated two years ago, has further strengthened tourism and economic ties between our countries.”
Massimo Ariello, CaMexItal Tourism Delegate, added, “México Maravilloso promotes authentic itineraries and seminars also dedicated to pre-Columbian history, offering useful tools for Italian operators to promote Mexico with greater awareness and passion.”

Gastronomy and culture at the center of events
Laura Rossi, CaMexItal Delegate Councilor for Fashion, Luxury and Tourism, explains that among the most anticipated initiatives is México Excell Food, which will involve as many as 19 Mexican states including Oaxaca, Yucatán, Jalisco and Chiapas, through tastings and show cooking. Italian Chambers of Commerce will host exclusive events, bringing the public to discover the richness and biodiversity of Mexican cuisine. “México Maravilloso will also be a traveling art showcase bringing Mexican artists, muralists and photographers to Italy, accompanied by workshops and talks open to the public. Our goal is to offer a complete package that will make Italians fall in love with Mexico,” Rossi concludes.
Upcoming events and news
In addition to traveling events in Italy, CaMexItal will participate with a Mexican pavilion at TTG in Rimini and will organize information tours in both Italy and Mexico. In addition, in 2026, Mexico will host the FIFA World Cup for the third time in its history and will welcome Italy as the guest of honor at the Guadalajara International Book Fair, once again confirming the strong cultural and economic ties between the two countries.
