Menady https://www.menady.it/ is a restaurant lounge bar opened a few months ago in downtown Milan, just a few steps from the Duomo.
Opera Gourmet Experience is an evocative and appetizing encounter between the most famous Italian composers and their favorite dishes.
The premiere of Opera Gourmet Experience
Menady launched the Opera Gourmet Experience format. Featured were Giuseppe Verdi’s operas paired with the Italian cuisine recipes the composer loved most, such as risotto alla Milanese, braised beef, and zabaglione.
Opera Gourmet Experience – Dinner with Verdi was the first event in a series of events and evenings combining opera music and gastronomy, the made in Italy that we are most envious of.
The room dedicated to this intriguing format is located on the floor below Menady’s and is intimate elegant and cozy.
A glass of bubbly is offered upon arrival, after which guests sit at the table for the start of the dinner show.
Each course is given a thought with historical and artistic mentions
A storyteller, makes the experience even more enjoyable amid anecdotes and trivia about the work.
The first evening of Opera Gourmet Experience kicked off on March 12
from La Traviata to Rigoletto, from Aida to Il Trovatore four moments punctuated the time with appetizer, first second dessert and with a pairing of four selected wine glasses.
The dishes that Giuseppe Verdi loved were a succession of cured meats, saffron risotto, braised meat with polenta and zabaglione.

Opera Gourmet Experience is a night of music, taste and beauty in downtown Milan under the banner of conviviality and the pleasure of spending a different evening than usual.
